Placement changes everything: how the design reads, how it ages, and how long the session runs. Flat, low-movement areas like the outer forearm, calf, and thigh hold detail longest and hurt least — ideal first placements.
Size is about breathing room. Fine linework needs space between lines or it blurs as skin ages, so going one size up almost always heals better. Bring measurements (a palm, a hand span) rather than inches and your artist will scale the stencil on your body, not on paper.
At your consultation we tape the printed stencil on, check it in the mirror, sit with it, and adjust. You approve the exact placement before any needle touches skin — that ten-minute check is the most important part of the booking.
